Pori beach is a sandy beach, shaped in a half moon and is ideal for swimming with its beautiful clean waters. The beach is situated 3.5km north of Chora and it has lots of coves and rock formations.
Most tourist thinks this is the most beautiful beach on the island and the beach also attracts nudists as well as windsurfers.
There are two cafes that cater for your needs.
To reach the beach you can walk from Platia Pounda Beach or take a boat from Finikas or Pori Camping sites. It can also be reached by road.
Finikas beach

Location: 1km east of Chora
Finikas beach lies east of Chora and only a 15minute walk. It is known as the textile beach of Koufonisia. It is a sandy beach and extremely beautiful. There is a tavern for its visitors.
The beach can also be reached by boat.
Fanos beach

Location: 1.5km east of Chora
Fanos beach is situated 1.5km east of Chora. It is a sandy beach with aquamarine waters. There is a café-restaurant at the beach that offers food and refreshments. The beach is 300m from Harokopou beach.
The beach is mostly sheltered from the northly and westerly winds which makes it ideal for its beach goers. Between the beaches of Fanos and Harakopou there is a camping area with some tourist’s facilities.

Nero Beach

From Koufonisia you can take a boat to the island of Kato (lower Koufonisia). Timings for the boats can be found at the dock where the boat leaves from.
Nero is a small beach at Kato which can be crowded. The beach is pebbled and the stones on the beach can be hot on a very sunny day. You also need to bring all your food and drinks along for the day.
