Agios Georgios beach

Location: 5km north east of Chorio
This beautiful beach is located on the north eastern side of the island. It has a nice sandy beach and beautiful blue waters. You can reach the beach through a track road, at the end of the main road on the island. There are also other calm beaches in the area that can be visited as well as rooms to let.
The beach is an excellent choice for swimming as it has unique white sand that are considered to be medicinal or is used to sand bathing. Apart from swimming the thermal springs can be enjoyed by the sea.
Aliki beach
Sandy, Pebbles, Non Organised, windsurfing
Location: 2km south of Chorio
Aliki is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with it pebbles and sandy beach. The beach lies south of Chorio, near the port of Psathi. The landscape around the beach is rocky and beautiful.
The beach is 1km long and 10m wide with some trees on the coastline that offers natural shade to its bathers. Aliki is affected by the northern summer winds and makes this beach the ideal place for windsurfing. As the waters are so clear and clean, diving can also be enjoyed here.
Note that the ruins of an ancient submerged city have been found close to the beach.
Kalamitsi beach

Location: 3km south of Chorio
Kalamitsi beach is a beautiful large sandy beach near the village of Psathi. This beach is very popular during the summer months due to the flat sandy beach, crystal clear waters and lovely tamarisk trees that provide shade. Accommodation options are in the area, and you can find bars and taverns near the beach to satisfy your hunger and thirst.
Bonatsa beach
Pebbled, Sandy, Secluded, Non Organised
Location: 3km south of Chorio
Bonatsa beach is a large beach with a mixture of sand and pebbles. It is a popular beach during summertime as there are good tourist facilities like accommodation, taverns, bars and cafes.
The only way to reach the beach is on foot or by boat from Psathi port.
Psathi beach
Partly Organized, Pebbles, Sandy, Family Friendly, Harbor
Location: 1km south of Chorio
Psathi beach is the beach right on the port with a sandy and pebbled beach. This beach is very popular due to its location. Here you will find lots of stores, accommodation and food options, transportation, souvenir shops as well as an ATM.
Ellinika beach
Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised, Nudism Friendly
Location: 5km west of Chorio
Ellinika is a narrow, sandy beach with some pebbled and rocky parts. The beach is secluded and offers privacy to tourists. The beach is calm and can be reached by dirt road.
There are ancient ruins nearby that can be visited. There are no facilities at the beach and therefore you need to take all your supplies for the day with you from food, water and umbrellas.
Dekas beach
Sandy, Secluded, Non Organised, Nudism Friendly
Location: 5km west of Chorio
Dekas beach lies around 5km west of Dekas and can be reached through a track road. The beach is clean, sandy and offers privacy to loners and couples. No tourist facilities is in the area and you need to take your supplies along for the day.
Close to Dekas beach you can find the archaeological site of Ellinika.
Fikiada beach
Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised, Not recommended for families
Location: 4km west of Chorio
Fikiada beach is a very narrow and rocky beach situated 4km west of Chorio. The beach is very rocky and not suitable for adults with kids. You visit at Fikiada beach will not be the most enjoyable if you are looking for privacy and relaxation.
Klima beach

Location: 2km north of Chorio
Klima beach is located 2km north of Chorio. Klima is very popular in the summer months as it is easily accessible by main road from Chorio. The long-pebbled shore has a uniqueness to it and with trees nearby it offers great shade to its visitors. When the wind doesn’t blow the beach is ideal for swimming.
The beach is not organised and there are some accommodation options in the area.
Klima is very close to Horio and next to the beach we find the quarries where sinter was extracted before bricks came into use.
Mavrospilia beach
Sandy, Secluded, Non Organised, Nudism Friendly
Location: 6km west of Chorio
Mavrospilia is a beautiful long beach situated 6km west of Chorio. To get to the beach you must follow a dirt track road. The beach has dark sand, short vegetation and crystal clear and clean waters.
At the end of the beach, the impressive “Aspragremna” stands out, the multiphotographed rock of the island. It is beautiful and worth a visit especially at sunset. The ancient ruins of Ellinika are in walking distance.
Pigados beach
Rocky, Pebbled, Secluded, Non Organised
Location: 4km north of Chorio
Pigados beach is 4km north of Chorio. It is a narrow and rocky beach with crystal clear waters. It is a calm beach and attract a lot of visitors. The shore is a bit stony and may hurt your feet. It’s not the most family friendly beach on the island.
