How to get to Kea Island?

Kea like most of the other islands are connected to the port of Lavrion, Pireaus and Rafina on the mainland in Athens. From Kea it is easy to visit other islands like Ios, Santorini, Kimolos, Naxos, Anafi and Amorgos.

From Kea you can also visit islands like Crete, Rhodes and basically all Dodecanese and East Aegean Islands via a third island.

To get to Kea you can take a conventional ferry boat, by Highspeed or Flying dolphin depending on the day, time and ferry company you with to travel with. With a conventional ferry your trip can take between 5-7 hours and with the Highspeed ferry it can take between 3.5-4.5 hours. These ferries normally departs from Lavrion port.

Ferries from Athens ports run all year round and it runs more frequently during the summer months.
