Antiparos beaches

Glyfa beach

Partly Organized, Sandy, Family Friendly, Natural Shade

Location: 4km south of Chora

Glyfa beach is a sandy beach and can be found on the southern area of Antiparos facing east with a view of Paros island. The beach has a rural setting and offer great escapes if you are looking for some hidaway. The sandy beach makes it a fantastic place for families with children. There are also some trees offering shade on the hot days.

Amenities like taverns and accommodation can be found nearby, but It is recommended to take supplies with you to the beach.

Up until 2016 there was a café and windsurfing school at the beach and until 2017 some umbrellas and sunbeds free of charge. These are not in operation anymore.

The beach can be reached by car or public bus.

 

Panagia beach

Non organised, Sandy, Natural Shade

Location: 1km south from Chora

Panagia beach is situated in a large bay, 1km south of Chora and is one of the most picturesque beaches on Antiparos. To find Panagia beach you pass two main beaches of Psaraliki and sometimes Panagia gets called Psaraliki beach 3.

Panagia beach has lots of trees that offers natural shade and it has a sandy beach. There is also a tavern that offers delicious Greek food. This beach is the perfect location if you are looking for some privacy, peace and tranquillity.

You can reach the beach by car, foot or bus.

 

Psaraliki beach

Water sports, Sandy, Nudism Friendly, Organised, Natural Shade, Family Friendly

Location: 1km south of Chora

Psaraliki beach lies on the eastern part of the island and consists of two beaches, called Psaraliki 1 and Psaraliki 2. These two beaches are the most accessed beaches on the island. To reach Psaraliki 2 it will take 2 minutes’ walk from Psaraliki 1 in a southern direction and Psaraliki 1 is a 10-minute walk from Antiparos Town.

Both beaches are ideal for families as it has shallow waters, sandy beaches and lots of water sports that can be enjoyed. You can also rent umbrellas or sunbeds on these beaches. The beaches are also protected from the northern winds and the beautiful tamarisk trees provided lovely natural shade.

Psaraliki 2 is more popular under nudist, but you will also find non-nudist on this beach. On this beach you will find pedal boats, inflatables, snorkelling facilities, beach tennis and wind surfing options.

 

Camping beach

Location: 100m from Chora

This beach is situated 100m from Chora and is a very popular beach under nudists and young people. Camping beach is also known as camper beach as you will find a campsite on the beach with tents. These offer shade and accommodation to tourists. You can also bring your own tent.

Camping beach is an official nudists beach since the 1970’s. The beach has a relax feel to it. Camping and Nudism is very popular in Antiparos and this beach combines both.

 

Soros beach

Sandy, Natural Shade, Nudism Friendly, Organised

Location: 8km south of Chora

Soros beach is one of the longest sandy beaches with turquoise waters on the island. It is located on the southeast side of the island. Being one of the most beautiful beaches on Antiparos, you can also enjoy numerous amenities including sunbeds, umbrellas, water sport facilities and a beach bar.

This beach can get busy during high season as it is the largest beach on Antiparos. Soros beach is not ideal for families as the sea gets deep fast after the first 3 meters and you will find many spots that suddenly deepens with rocks in the sea.

You can find two taverns close by that offer’s great food and drinks.

Soros beach can be reached by bus as well as by car.

 

Vathis Volos beach

Pebbled and sandy, calm atmosphere

Location: 12km south west of Chora

Vathis Volos beach is a lovely beach with clear waters situated 12km south west from Antiparos town. This beach offers privacy, calmness and relaxation for their visitors.

At Vathis Volos beach you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds. In the nearby vicinity you will find restaurants, taverns, some small hotels and rooms to let.

The island of Despotiko is situated opposite from Vathis Volos Beach and can be reached by small tour boat. Vathis Volos beach is sometimes a stop for tour boats that go from Paros to Antiparos and Despotiko.

 

Agios Spiridonas beach

Sandy, Family Friendly, Partly Organized, natural shade

Location: 200m from Chora

Agios Spiridonas beach is located only 200m from Chora and is seen as one of the most popular beaches for locals and visitors. The lovely shallow waters make this an ideal family location and sometimes the beach is called “Baby Beach”. The beach is most of the time windless and have tamarisk trees that offers great shade during the hot summer days.

From Agios Spiridonas beach you have a magnificent view of Paros. There is also great traditional taverns and restaurant in the area as well as accommodation options if you wish to stay.

 

Kako Rema beach

Pebbled, partly organized, privacy

Location: 12km south of Chora

Kako Rema beach is one of the most unknown beaches on the island and is therefore a quiet beach with lots of privacy, peace and tranquillity. Here you won’t find umbrellas and sunbeds, but the bay is protected from strong winds which makes it safe to swim.

Kako Rema is located near the village of Agios Georgios and need to be reached with a vehicle as its too far to walk.

 

Livadia beach

Pebbled, Secluded, Non-Organised, Nudism Friendly

Location: 17km south west of Chora

Livadia Beach is situated on the western side of Antiparos, which is the most undeveloped area of the island. This beach is not very popular under tourists as it gets affected regularly by strong winds, the road is rough and hilly to get to the beach and there is no shade to protect you from the sun. There are also no tourist facilities in the area apart from a few accommodation options.

However, this is a lovely beach is you are a nature lover, seeking peace, quietness and a relaxing swim without the crowds.

 

Apantima Beach

Apantima beach is a charming pebbled beach with clear waters and sea with a rocky bottom. The beach is situated in a picturesque cove which is protected from strong winds.

One of the islands best restaurants can be found right above the beach which offers visitors delicious local specialities and drinks. (LINK)

There is a beach bar close by called the “Beach House”.

To get to the beach you need to take a car or bus.

Sunset Beach (Sifneiko)

Sunsets, Sandy, Snorkelling

Location: 500m from Antiparos Town

Only 500m away from Antiparos Town lies Sunset Beach (Sifneiko), named after Sifnos Island which can be viewed in the distance from Sunset Beach.

Sunset beach has crystal clear waters and golden sand. Sometimes the sea can be rough, but it is an ideal location for snorkelling and swimming.

Amazing sunsets can be witnessed from Sunset beach, while sitting on the stone benches. There is a kid’s playground nearby as well as restaurants and taverns.

 

Faneromeni beach

Sandy beach

Faneromeni beach is located at the southern part of Antiparos. It is a small beach at the end of a long rocky road.

The beach is under the church of Faneromeni and there is no sunbeds, umbrellas or beach bar. You will need to take your own supplies for the day.

The beach is also known as “Tou Garbi to avlaki beach”.

To reach the beach you will need a car.

 

Fanari beach

Organised, Shade

Fanari beach is a small beach, which is well protected from winds and has lots of trees that offers natural shade to its visitors. The beach is located between Psaraliki 1 and 2.
