How to get to Andros Island?
Ferries
There are no ferries to Andros from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. A ferry to Andros only departs from the port of Rafina, on the northern side of Athens. Rafina is the closest port to the International Airport of Athens. There are buses and taxis to connect the Athens Airport to the port of Rafina. A ferry to Andros from Rafina takes 2 hours. There are daily ferries from Rafina all year round, but schedules are more frequent in summer.

Athens, Lavrio – Crete, Heraklio – Crete, Rethymno – Ikaria, Evdilos – Kea – Kimolos – Kythnos – Milos – Mykonos – Naxos – Paros – Samos, Karlovassi – Skiathos – Syros – Thessaloniki – Tinos. Note that these ferry connections can be available only during some summer months.
The most popular ferry routes to Andros are from the ports of Rafina (Athens), Mykonos & Tinos. Note that Mykonos has an international airport therefore, visitors can get to Mykonos by plane and then reach Andros by ferry.
Flights
There is no airport in Andros. The closest airport is in Athens, the capital of Greece. The airport of Athens receives flights from most airports of Greece and from many international airports.
From the airport of Athens, you take the bus or taxi to the port of Rafina, located about 30 min from the airport. From Rafina, there are daily ferries to Andros.
